Santa Ponsa is a popular, thriving resort on the South West coast of Mallorca (Majorca), just 20km west of Palma and close to the resorts of Magaluf, Palmanova and Paguera.

Unlike its close neighbours, Santa Ponsa has much more of a cosmopolitan feel; largely the result of the resort being popular with visitors from a range of nations including England, Ireland, Scotland, Germany, Holland and increasingly the Scandanavian countries.

It is particulalrly popular with Celtic visitors, and as a result there are a number of themed bars and restaurants catering for this market.

Santa Ponsa comes alive in the evenings, and there is no shortage of bars, restaurants, clubs and live music venues to choose from; however because of its multi-national feel, the atmosphere is very much more laid back than in the more 'full-on' resorts such as Magaluf.

The beach in Santa Ponsa is extremely popular, with both tourists and locals alike, so much so that in recent years large amounts of sand have been imported to extend the beach in order to cope with the increased number of visitors. Should you wish to escape the crowds however, there is a smaller second beach set in its own sheltered cove around a 15 minute walk away.

Santa Ponsa is ideally located for many of Mallorca's most popular tourist attractions and parks - and these include Aqualand, Marineland, Western Park, Pirates Adventure, House of Katmandu and many more. Tickets for these atrractions are available from our reception; and during months of June - September a twice daily complimentary bus service runs to Aqualand, Western Park and Marineland from the hotel.

There is plenty to do in Santa Ponsa during the day including activities such as boat trips, fishing, water-skiing, snorkeling and diving. There are also several fantastic golf courses on the edge of the resort just a short taxi journey away.
